Just like the previous release, we recorded this straight from the source: the lips, lungs, tongue, teeth, heart, and soul of the artist. Just Nicky Bob himself -- no edits, overdubs, effects, or studio trickery to get in the way. We want it to feel like the artist is playing live right in your room, complete with commentary for each song.
Folks have been suggesting we work with Nick for a long, long time now, so we're ecstatic to deliver five excellent performances of five excellent songs. We think that our stripped-down Rough Cuts recording style is the perfect way to capture one of the many aspects of Nick Shoulders that makes him so captivating: his wildly endearing voice. Even in person, his voice sounds like it should be emanating from an antique wood panel tube radio. Now you'll know for sure... there are no effects, that's just him.
